DAY 19
The joy of singing and music.
As you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Ephesians 5.19-20
Jill and I were at Wisley yesterday and there was a Salvation Army band playing familiar Christmas tunes and it it just felt like a warm hug.
For many people, carols are at the heart of Christmas, a chance to sing about God’s love*
This morning we will be singing and celebrating the gift of Jesus at our Nativity play.
For some of us, it's a difficult thing to do, as it reminds us of those who are not with us. Perhaps in our sadness, we could read the words to some of the carols and songs, and find the comfort and presence of God with us.
Possible Activities:
What’s your favourite Christmas carol? Record your family singing it and share it with your wider family and friends*
Take some time to make a YouTube play list of your favourite carols and listen to them during the Christmas season
