Kids and Youth

Toddlers, and Children and Young People are very welcome at St James! They play an active part in our church and are greatly appreciated and valued.

Youth-led service
Once a month our children and young people work together to lead a service, choosing the theme, doing the readings, the sermon, and the prayers, and choosing the songs.

For Toddlers
We have an informal creche area at the back of the church for the very little ones. We are also very happy for them to wander around the church, as long as a grown-up wanders along with them! We have an assortment of musical instruments they can join in with! Please do not worry if they make a noise during the service!

Kids and Youth Group
We have a Youth and Kids group which meets twice a month (Except during the summer holidays) They go out to their room, where a team of very friendly and dedicated leaders runs each session. Towards the end of the service, they come to the front of the church and tell us what they have been doing! It’s always a highlight of each service!

All Age Worship
Two of our services are All Age Worship, where the children and young people take part in reading the lessons, leading the prayers, operating the projector, and the sermons seek to be interactive where the views of children and young people are encouraged and greatly valued. Kids and Young People also play their instruments in our worship band.

Oh, and we have a small pool table and table football at the back church!
